Moving In To Long-Term Care

Long-Term Care includes care that was previously referred to by terms like Intermediate Care, Extended Care and Complex Care.

All residents in Pinegrove Place are admitted through Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, which provides operational funding.

Click here for more information on Vancouver Coastal Health Long-Term Care.

All move ins are arranged through Vancouver Coastal Health. (Resident fees, which are set by government, constitute about one-quarter of the total cost.) We are a faith-based organization that welcomes residents from all ethnic and faith backgrounds.

If someone for whom you provide care (e.g. an aging parent or spouse) needs more help due to chronic illness, disability or dementia, contact Vancouver Coastal Health and ask for an assessment.

The Richmond Home Health office number is 604-278-3361, call and ask for intake.

A Case Manager will arrange to visit, and then make an assessment based on physical, cognitive and social factors. The assessor may recommend home support, independent living (with supports) or assisted living. If your loved ones' needs exceed what these services can provide they will be recommended for a long-term care facility such as Pinegrove Place.

To book a tour, please contact our social worker at 604-278-1296, extension 249.

You can make a difference!

We value all the donations we receive at Pinegrove Place.
